Many Galaxy phones check the USB-C port for moisture before charging. If they detect liquid or a short across the pins, they show a water-drop icon and pause wired charging. It is a protective feature that stops damage to the port and the phone.

What to try
- Unplug the cable and let the phone dry in a well-ventilated place
- Gently tap the phone with the port facing down
- Look into the port with a torch for lint; do not dig with metal objects
- Try a different, known-good cable
- If your model supports wireless charging, use it while the port dries
When the warning will not clear
If the phone is completely dry and the warning keeps returning, the port may be corroded or damaged. A charging port repair or cleaning usually solves it. Avoid forcing a charge with workarounds, because charging into a genuinely wet port can cause further damage.
