Compare a model-specific screen quote with the condition and usefulness of the whole phone. A cracked screen alone does not mean you need a replacement device.
Describe the damage
- Glass cracked, but the picture and touch still work.
- Lines, black patches or missing picture.
- Touch responds incorrectly or does not respond.
- Frame damage or other faults after the same impact.
Compare your options
Ask what the quoted screen includes. Where different replacement parts are offered, discuss brightness, colour, touch behaviour and warranty before choosing. Whether glass alone can be repaired depends on the model and condition; do not assume it is a separate low-cost repair.
Decide using the complete quote
Include any other faults that need fixing. Consider battery condition, software support and how well the phone meets your needs. Back up accessible data before handing it over and avoid handling loose or sharp glass.
