Is an iPad screen repair different from a phone screen repair?

It generally takes longer. Tablet displays are larger and more heavily bonded to the frame, so they need more careful removal. Because of that, some tablet screen repairs cannot be completed while you wait — we will tell you at the counter.

What is the difference between the digitiser and the screen?

The digitiser is the glass layer that senses your touch; the display is the panel underneath that produces the picture. On many tablets they are separate, so if the glass is cracked but the picture is perfect, replacing the digitiser alone is often enough — and cheaper. We will check which you need.

How we do it

We test the existing battery health and charging behaviour to confirm the battery is the cause rather than a charging or software fault. The old cell is removed, a replacement is fitted, and we run a charge cycle test before returning the device. If you have a swollen battery, stop using the device and bring it in — swollen cells are a safety risk.
