Can you fix an HDMI port?

Yes. A damaged HDMI port is replaced at board level — it is a soldering repair rather than a parts swap, and it is one of the most common console repairs we carry out.

What causes stick drift on a controller?

Normal wear, in most cases. The analogue stick module contains contacts that degrade over time, so the controller reads movement when the stick is at rest. Replacing the module resolves it.

We inspect and clean the card reader first, since debris is a common cause. If the reader itself has failed we replace the assembly and test it across several games before returning the console.
